What makes your bar soap different?
Chemistry Soaps bar soaps are handmade in our soap lab using saponified plant based oils. Each batch is made in small quantities, so the soap you receive is fresh.
Do you test on animals?
No. Chemistry Soaps does not test products on animals. We use our own products and test them with willing human participants.
How are your soaps made?
Our handmade soaps are created using the cold process method. After production, the bars are cured for at least 4 to 6 weeks. Some bars cure longer.
Tell me no lye! Does Chemistry Soaps use lye during processing?
Yes. Sodium hydroxide, commonly called lye, is necessary to make bar soap. During saponification, the sodium hydroxide reacts with the oils to create soap. When the formula is properly balanced and the bar is fully cured, no free lye should remain in the finished soap.
How should I store my soap?
Store unused soap in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. After use, place the bar in a dry location with adequate airflow. Avoid storing wet soap in an airtight container.
I bought two bars of soap. Why do they look different?
Our soaps are handmade and poured in small batches. Colors and patterns may vary slightly from bar to bar. No two bars will look exactly the same.
Are there any allergy concerns with these products?
Some of our soaps contain plant materials, algae, spices, or sweet almond oil. Review the ingredient list on the product page and the product label before use. Do not use a product if you have a known allergy or sensitivity to any listed ingredient. If you are uncertain, consult a qualified medical professional before use.
What are your shipping rates?
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Any optional green shipping selection will also be displayed at checkout.
What is the standard turnaround time?
Orders are generally processed within 1 to 2 business days. After processing, standard shipping typically takes 3 to 8 business days. Carrier delays may occasionally affect delivery times.
What if my package is damaged or missing?
If you did not purchase Shipping Protection and the tracking information shows a successful delivery, contact the shipping carrier directly regarding a missing package.
If you did opt for the Shipping Protection at check out, reach out to their customer service by email, on Corso's website, or fill out a reorder request within 24 hours of the reported delivery date.
