About Our Packaging
Why We Use Protective Wrap
Chemistry Soaps uses a thin polyolefin protective shrink film to help keep our soaps clean and protected during storage, handling, and shipping.
Because our soaps are handled before they reach you, protective packaging helps reduce contact with dust, moisture, and outside handling while keeping each bar in better condition before use.
What We Use
We use Biolefin™ 2.0 shrink film for our soaps.
Biolefin™ 2.0 is a polyolefin shrink film made with mineral salt additives. The film is designed to support degradation after proper disposal in suitable landfill conditions.
The manufacturer states that Biolefin™ 2.0 is designed to complete this process within approximately 2 to 3 years under suitable landfill conditions.
Shipping Materials
We use recycled cardboard for shipping. Our goal is to keep each order protected while avoiding unnecessary packaging wherever possible.
When Plastic Is Necessary
Some products need plastic packaging to stay protected from moisture, leaks, breakage, or contamination during storage and shipping.
When plastic is the safest or most practical option, we use it intentionally and avoid unnecessary excess wherever possible.
We continue looking for better packaging options that reduce waste while still protecting the quality, hygiene, and condition of the products you receive.
Proper Disposal
After removing the soap wrap, dispose of it with your regular household trash unless your local waste authority gives different instructions.
Please do not discard the film outdoors, in waterways, storm drains, rivers, lakes, oceans, or as litter.
Why This Matters
We want our packaging to protect your products and reduce unnecessary waste.
We are intentional about the materials we use, and we are always looking for better ways to reduce waste, improve our packaging, and support responsible innovation without sacrificing product quality or hygiene.
